Out in the Cold: Locked Out of My House

Well, that just couldn't have happened at a worse time. I was rushing to get homeward bound, but as I went for doorknob, it felt like ice. My heart {sankdropped like a lead weight. I was deprived of entry in the middle of a bitterly cold night!

There I stood on my entryway, shivering in the chill. I couldn't even see my own face from how quickly it disappeared into the arctic chill. My phone was inside, and there wasn't a single friendly face in sight.

It started as a quick errand. I just needed to grab something from the shop. Now, here I am, stuck inside my car like some kind of metal condemned soul. I can see my apartment/house just a few steps away. All I have to do is access the keyhole. But alas, my ignition key are firmly nestled inside the car, mocking me with their out-of-reachness. What was I thinking? I should have just kept them on me.

It happened again! Here locked out of house deadbolt I sit, stranded outside my own apartment with absolutely no way to get in. Seriously, I'm starting to think I have a superpower: the uncanny ability to lock myself out of my own place. It's like a curse.
